Kristen Visbal
Kristen Visbal was born an American citizen in Montevideo, Uruguay, daughter to a foreign service diplomat, and was raised in the United States. A bronze sculptor, she holds a bachelor of arts, summa cum laude, from Salisbury State University, Maryland, and apprenticed at the Johnson Atelier art foundry in Mercerville. Her sculptures have won numerous awards and have been exhibited at the Lincoln Center and the National Arts Club. Her well-known work, Fearless Girl, installed in New York City's Financial District in 2017, inspiring the empowerment of women worldwide and symbolising the call for gender diversity in leadership.
